New Brief_Packaging

We are starting our new brief next week_PACKAGING

I have been researching packaging design and here are few websites that might be of use to me:

Design Council
This website gives an introduction to packaging design.

Design Council - A guide to some of the terms used in packaging design

WRAP_Material Change For a Better Environment
Provides ideas, tips and practical tools . Details on the new laws and legislations related to packaging, such as waste. Gives information on what consumers want and don't want from their packaging. Information on materials.

B Smith Packaging Limited/
Packaging Designers (Bags, Bags for Life, Boxes etc)

Envirowise - This website gives information on making packaging more environmentally friendly - in todays world this is very important. People don't like waste - I think packaging needs to be one of two things - either so amazingly beautiful that you will keep it forever because you can't bring yourself to throw it away (I have a few things like that) - or - if it is packaging that isn't likely to be kept then it needs to be recyclable, bio-degradable or re-useable. I might find that this thought is incorrect the further into my research I get, but at the moment I its true.
