Creative Review had an article called 'The Grid on Screen' this month. It mentioned thegridsystem.org which is dedicated to all things graphic-grid related. This months article focused on an online tool that designers can used to design simple grids onscreen and then export to CSS stylesheets and HTML templates. This tool is the work of New York based web developer Rasmus Schultz.

13 Awesome Javascript Menu's

James showed me the link to this site which has 13 'awesome javascript menu's' on it.
I am worrying a little bit because I was a sliding menu, but due to the non websafe font I am using, each menu item is going to be an image - I need to research into this to try and find out whether I can replace the text for a menu item with an image!!

Looking at the code, I hope to be able to replace the text with images.

'Although there are several good design websites that occasionally have book reviews, there didn’t seem to be a single place online where you could get constant updates and reviews of new (and sometimes old) design books.
Design books are often expensive and contrary – sometimes the book is worth having for the physical production values alone, sometimes for the images, sometimes for the words and, occasionally, for all three. We wanted to cover those elements in our reviews so that you know whether it’s worth owning.'
This is definitely a much needed site I will be making good use of!
